Product & Technical FAQ’s

What are the benefits to upgrading my suspension?

Factory Suspension is quite often designed as a compromise, as vehicle manufacturers are trying to manufacture a vehicle that is going to be used for numerous different purposes from many very different purchasers. With this in mind, they often design the suspension to cover all bases in one application.

Suspension Supplies Australia often have enquires from customers who drive the exact same make and model, however, each vehicle is being used for different purposes, so the wide range of BLUEMAX suspension parts and springs have been designed to deliver a solution for each application. So if you are tradesman that carries tools all day every day, we have a suspension system that suits tradies, and if your vehicle is predominantly used daily with none to very little loads carried, we have a more comfort duty suspension system to suit.

What is the warranty period on our products?

All “Blue Max” 4×4 Suspension Parts come with a limited 3 years/ 60,000klm warranty *Conditions apply. To view our warranty period for our range of products please DOWNLOAD WARRANTY & CONDITIONS here.

Do you include instructions with your products?

All products purchased from Suspension Supplies Australia that require instructions will be supplied with product specific instructions.

I’m after something custom that I can’t find on your product listing, can you assist?

If you are after something that is a custom fit out or not listed we WELCOME YOUR ENQUIRY. If you can give as much detail as in your make and model of vehicle, the load you carry and what you want to achieve, that way the team can give you the best possible solution for your needs. Normally your enquiry will be answered the same day, or next business day and after discussion with the workshop team.

What does LBA mean?

Quite often with products listed online, we are asked what LBA refers to. LBA is the abbreviation for ‘Load Bearing Accessories’, which refers to additional accessories fitted to a vehicle that increases the weight of a vehicle. These could be roof racks, additional fuel tanks or tyres, bullbars and winch or refrigerators, all of which add extra weight to the vehicle.

What Does IFS Mean?

IFS refers to the suspension design of many modern 4wd vehicles and actually means ‘Independent Front Suspension’. This design uses a double wishbone, generally a Torsion Bar or Coil Over Strut and Coil Spring for the front suspension as opposed to the older design  ‘solid axle front suspension’ design.
